Reining success for Charity Race Day for Bath’s Air Ambulance

We recently hosted our second Charity Raceday at Bath Racecourse. With the sun shining and sell-out hospitality suite for our supporters, it was certainly a day to remember. 

Thanks to our everyone who came along on the day, sponsored the event or bought an incredible prize from the silent auction, we raised over £15,000!  

Imogen Linham, our corporate fundraiser, shared: “Our second charity race day was fantastic, we are really grateful to all those who attended from our  volunteers,our race sponsors and corporate supporters! We couldn't have raised as much without you all.” 

A spokesperson from Novacast shared: "Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity is an independent charity that relies entirely on donations, fundraising, and community support.  Their dedicated crew includes highly trained critical care paramedics and doctors who can provide  lifesaving treatment at the scene. NovaCast has had the privilege of seeing this first hand by visiting their airbase in Semington, Trowbridge last year, where we were able to learn just how impactful their work is.  

“Over the past eight years, NovaCast has been a proud financial supporter of the vital work carried out by the Charity. .  NovaCast’s team closed the office for the day to attend Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance’s Charity Race Day at Bath Racecourse. This marked NovaCast’s second consecutive year supporting this fantastic event, which raises vital funds to help the charity continue providing lifesaving emergency care across the region. 
 
“The day was a great opportunity for the team to enjoy the racing, spend time together out of the office, and meet the dedicated Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance team, learning more about the invaluable work they carry out within the local community. One of the highlights of the day was being given the privilege of judging and selecting the Best Dressed Horse, giving our team the chance to play a small part in the event itself. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and we are proud to continue supporting such an important local charity."  

As Bath’s air ambulance Charity, with just a four-minute flight to the heart of the city, days like this are a reminder of the incredible support behind our service. From corporate supporters bringing their teams together, to patients and their families sharing messages with our crew, and volunteers and regular donors going above and beyond every day, every person plays a part in helping us provide lifesaving critical care. We simply couldn’t do it without you. 

In 2025, we attended 97 missions in Bath, representing over eight per cent of all missions that year. We also made 99 visits to the Royal United Hospital.  

None of these missions - or the 1,159 total missions across Wiltshire, Bath and beyond - would have been possible without our community. The Charity Race Day was just one of the ways we could celebrate and raise essential funds for our work.  

Alan, one of the Charity’s volunteers shared that “Race goers expressed their appreciation of Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity and donated most generously throughout the Race Day.”
