As Bath’s official air ambulance, we’re excited to announce that we have officially filled all 60 spaces for the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 15 March!
Our critical care paramedics and doctors are highly trained in critical care and deliver leading edge care in extreme, often life-threatening situations. But our ability to reach patients quickly and safely is increasingly being put at risk by a worrying rise in laser strikes and unauthorised drone activity targeting emergency medical helicopters.
In December 2025, our Charity successfully organised and delivered our first Resuscitation Council UK, Advanced Life Support (ALS) Course. This is a fantastic achievement and one that has taken over 12 months of planning and organisation to attain.
Whether you’re joining us for Bath Half, or taking on your own fundraising challenge, we caught up with one of our half marathoners, Josh Dolman from Elevate Cloud, to hear his tips and inspiration.
From its airbase in Semington, the helicopter and critical care cars responded to an average of three incidents every day, delivering advanced medical care when every second counted. Speed is the Charity’s superpower, with the helicopter able to reach anywhere in Wiltshire and Bath within just 11 minutes.
