Join us for Summer at the Base
Wednesday, 30 July 2025
The Charity is celebrating its 35th year of operation in 2025. The Summer at the Base event offers exciting activities for all ages and takes place on the front lawn of the airbase with a prime view of the helipad and helicopter (subject to operations).
Visitors of all ages can also look forward to appearances from the cuddly mascots, paramedic bear Wilber and pilot bear Marsha, CPR demonstrations, games and plenty of food and refreshment stalls available.
Entry to the event costs £5 per adult, and children under 12 enter for £1.
“We are excited to be holding our second Summer at the Base event, this year celebrating our 35th anniversary,” says Chloe Holtom, event planner at Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity. “It’s a chance to celebrate the vital work we do together with the local community. The support we receive from these events help us be there when we’re needed most.”
There will be a fantastic selection of local traders to browse, offering everything from handcrafted jewellery, gifts, and sustainable stationery to a fully licensed bar, baked treats and pet supplies.
Our annual mission stats for 2025
Our crew were called to 1,159 missions over the past year – a reminder of the lifesaving difference made possible by public support.
From our airbase in Semington, the helicopter and critical care cars responded to an average of three incidents every day, delivering advanced medical care when every second counted. Speed is the our superpower, with the helicopter able to reach anywhere in Wiltshire and Bath within just 11 minutes.
