Dog lovers, families and supporters are invited to enjoy a pawsome day out at the Paws Charity Dog Show, taking place in the beautiful grounds of Rainscombe Park at Oare, near Marlborough.

Supporting two local charities, Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity and the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, the event promises a packed programme of entertainment, activities and competitions for dogs and their owners.

Headline sponsor Macqueen Vets, an established small animal veterinary practice based in Devizes, is supporting the event. Their experienced team provides high-quality veterinary care, surgery and treatment for pets across Wiltshire. A spokesperson for Macqueen Vets shared: “Macqueen Veterinary Centre are delighted to be sponsoring the Paws Dog Show and supporting the vital work of Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance and the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.

"As a local veterinary practice, we're passionate about giving back to the community and celebrating the special bond between people and their pets. We're particularly looking forward to meeting both new and familiar clients and patients, strengthening relationships within our community, and enjoying a fantastic day with fellow animal lovers.”

Visitors can enjoy spectacular displays and demonstrations throughout the day, including the exciting K9 Aqua Sports dog diving experience, where dogs of all breeds, sizes and abilities can take the plunge and have fun in the water.

The popular Paws For Thought Dog Display Team will showcase their agility, intelligence and teamwork through a variety of tricks, races and demonstrations. Visitors will even have the opportunity to get involved with exciting 'have-a-go' Flyball sessions.

Wessex K9 Dancers will also take to the arena, performing impressive Heelwork to Music routines. The talented handlers and their dogs have competed at Crufts and will be demonstrating the skills that have earned them success at the highest level.

Chloe Holtom, event planner at Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity explained, “We are thrilled to be returning to Rainscombe Park for the Paws Charity Dog Show. It's a fantastic day out for families and their four-legged friends, with plenty to see and do throughout the day. We have exciting displays and fun dog show classes as well as have-a-go activities for all ages. We can't wait to welcome everyone for another brilliant event.

Jennie Shaw, chief executive of the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, “Our successful partnership between Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity and Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust is making a real difference in the local area. Supporters, like those attending Paws Charity Dog Show, are helping raise vital funds to ensure we can continue protecting and supporting people when they need us most."

Every dog can have its moment in the spotlight with 12 Fun Family Dog Show classes open to all dogs aged six months and over. From Waggiest Tail to Dog The Judge Most Wants To Take Home, there are plenty of opportunities for canine companions to win a rosette and goodie bag.

Entries for the dog show classes open at 10.15am, with the first class beginning at 11am.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for dogs and owners to take part in interactive activities throughout the day, including agility and the ever-popular Temptation Alley challenge.

Alongside the canine entertainment, families can enjoy a dedicated children's activity area with plenty to keep younger visitors entertained.

Advance tickets are available for £8 per person, with tickets on the day priced at £10. Carer tickets are available at a 50% discount, costing £4 in advance or £5 on the day. Children aged 12 and under can attend free of charge.

Funds raised through the event will help support the vital work of both charities. Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity provides critical medical care by land and air across Wiltshire and Bath, while the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust works alongside Wiltshire Police to help protect elderly and vulnerable people from crime, abuse and online fraud.
