A heartfelt thank you: celebrating our third Thankathon
Wednesday, 18 March 2026
At Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity, everything we do is made possible by the incredible people in our community. Without government funding, our supporters, volunteers, partners and communities are at the heart of every mission.
That's why we host our annual Thankathon, where our Charity team, volunteers and trustees spend the day personally thanking as many supporters as possible. We’re pleased to share that for our third event, we reached an incredible 1,759 people, smashing last year’s total of 1,072.
Together, we achieved:
-
518 personal phone calls
-
1,172 handwritten cards
-
69 personal emails
Every single message came from the people behind the Charity, those who see first-hand the difference our supporters make.
We reached out to people and organisations throughout Wiltshire and Bath, including donors, volunteers, corporate supporters, local schools, pubs and community groups, as well as those who give in memory of loved ones. Each one plays a vital role in helping us be there when it matters most.
Adam Baker, director of communications and supporter engagement, explained: “With so much of modern life focused on asking for more, our Thankathon is deliberately different. It is a moment for us to show genuine appreciation to the individuals, businesses and communities who make our lifesaving work possible.
"Our staff, volunteers and trustees all came together for one day to say thank you for that support. Through phone calls, handwritten cards and personal emails, we managed to reach out to an amazing 1,759 supporters.
"If you are reading this and we didn't get round to you - thank you for your support, it means so much. Your support ensures we can continue to deliver leading edge critical care across Wiltshire and Bath, reaching anyone who needs us within minutes.”
Our supporters are the reason we can deliver lifesaving care across Wiltshire and Bath. In 2025 alone, our crew responded to 1,159 missions, including 283 cardiac emergencies and 181 road traffic collisions. They treated 130 children and carried out 413 missions at night.
Each of those moments was made possible by the kindness and commitment of our supporters.
Our Thankathon is our chance to pause and recognise that. To say, clearly and sincerely, we could not do this without you.
From all of us at the Charity, thank you.
