A gift in your Will, sometimes called a legacy gift, is a donation you choose to leave to a charity after you pass away.
By leaving a gift in your Will to Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity, you are helping secure the future of a lifesaving service for people across Wiltshire and Bath.
These gifts help fund vital elements of our service such as:

On average, one in three missions are thanks to Gifts in Wills. These help ensure that our service can continue to be there for people in critical situations, including:

Our crew bring expert care directly to the patient, stabilising them before transporting them to the most appropriate hospital.
Legacy gifts can also help fund transformational projects. For example, one generous gift enabled the Charity to purchase the land where our airbase now stands, creating a secure foundation for the future.

Residuary gift
A residuary gift is a percentage of the remaining estate after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been taken care of.
Many people choose this option because the value of the gift adjusts automatically with the value of their estate.
Pecuniary gift
A pecuniary gift is a fixed amount of money that you choose to leave to the Charity.

A solicitor can help ensure your wishes are clearly recorded and legally valid. They can also advise you on matters such as inheritance tax and estate planning.
The good news is that making a Will does not need to be complicated. Many Wills can be completed in around an hour.
Gifts in Wills panelYes. Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity offers a Free Wills Service to make the process simple and accessible.
You can choose from three convenient options:
1. Face to face with a solicitor
Appointments are available with our partner solicitors at Parker Bullen LLP. Meetings can take place in person or via Zoom.
2. A home visit
A trained Wills Counsellor from The Goodwill Partnership can visit you at home to help you create your Will.
3. Online Will writing
You can complete your Will online through our partner Farewill.
Each option allows individuals or couples to create a simple Will at no cost.
If your estate is more complex, there may be an additional fee. Any costs will be explained in advance and you are under no obligation to continue.
Whilst this service is free for our supporters its cost us approximately £100 per will.
Write your Will for free at homeNo, there is no pressure to leave a gift. However, once you have taken care of your loved ones, we hope you might consider supporting the future of this lifesaving service.
About our lifesaving workYou do not have to let us know if you include Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity in your Will.
